Founded in 2021 by long-time friends since high school, Robby, Marky and Joey Bonstone gathered their forces from their island stronghold in Alameda, California, drafting Scooby and Ronny Bonstone to complete their vision for a melodic punk rock band to conquer the globe. These veterans of East Bay punk, goth and metal have released two full-length LPs and a plethora of seasonal cover singles over the past five years.

Robby (vocals, keyboards and guitars), and Marky (drums and vocals) recruited Joey (guitars, bass, keyboards, vocals and production) to collaborate writing and recording their debut LP, East Bay Elegy. Robby (Ruffians) and Marky (Overdrive) cut their teeth in the 80s East Bay Metal world, while Joey (Wynona Riders, Here Kitty Kity, toyboat, Three Years Down, Fracas) has a long history deeply embedded in East Bay punk. When the three decided to bring The Bonstones out of the studio and onto the stage they recruited Scooby (Jack Killed Jill) on guitar and Ronny (Calling the Skies) on bass.

Since the release of East Bay Elegy (Sell The Heart/Monster Zero Records), The Bonstones have toured Colorado with the Bricheros, Prozacs and Flight Kamikaze, played a showcase set at Fest 22 in Gainesville, FL and toured in Italy and Germany, along with playing venues all over California.

2025 saw the release of Best Coast, their follow-up to East Bay Elegy, on their own CTRL label. Their touring and performance timetable was thrown slightly off-track when Marky was injured while unwisely performing his own stunts at the 2025 Punk Rock Raduno festival in Italy on-stage with the Prozacs. Plans are underway to resume road work through 2026.
